The Famous Maori's

The man in the first picture is Willie Apiata was born on 28th June 1972. He was from Mangakino, New Zealand. The reason he is famous is because he carried a fellow soldier across a battle field while under fire. He received a Victoria Cross.

Jeremy Mateparae he was born on 14th November 1954. He was from Whanganui, New Zealand.
He was a Lieutenant General and he was a the New Zealand chief between 2006 and 2011. He was New Zealand 20th and nuie's 9th Governor General.
